Adam Henrique confirmed he is close to re-signing with the New Jersey Devils.
Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said Wednesday he hoped to have all of the the team’s restricted free agents signed by the end of the week. Henrique said he’s hopeful that timeline will hold up. The 23-year-old center said his reps and the Devils have discussed both short-term and long-term deals but wasn’t sure what the end result would be. Henrique had 11 goals and 16 points in 42 games last season after a strong rookie campaign.
